It is nice to have macros available on the Macro menu. It would be more convenient if you could also assign an accelerator key combination to your macro as well. This would enable much quicker macro execution when editing multiple documents.

What stops you to assign a key to your macro?

Configure - Preferences - Keyboard,

select "Macros" in the Categories box,
then select your macro in the Command box,
then assign the key(s) you want.

Whoops sorry. Haven't fully explored the prefs and never found that.
