It would be great if textpad could remember the last value entered when executing a tool with a prompt. Example: I'm editing file Util1.c, then I use the tools menu to compile Utility.mak (wich contains Util1.c). Later, I must recompile the same file, so textpad would suggest "Utility.mak" when I click on tool | Compile using Make.

yep. Sounds like a good idea. You should create a 5-way-poll (check other enhancement suggestion for more on that).
because when (or if ) you do that, this suggestion will be ranked by jeffy's program. The results of that ranking are posted here more or less regularly IIRC.
