Defining keystrokes for special font characters.

Post by hspier »

I use a font that has characters which are special symbols . None of these correspond to the characters listed under keyboard preferences. In Texpad can I define keystrokes to easily enter these.

Many thanks,
Harry

One rather longish way would be to record a macro for each char and then assign a keyboard shortcut to the all the macros. I think you can still access any chars with the old <Alt-number> trick and that would be ideal to use in the macro, not copy paste, if possible that is. HTH
Then I open up and see
the person fumbling here is me
a different way to be

I do a lot of this and have found that the most satisfying answer is a macro keypad. Mine cost $300 some many years (3) ago (and is like the keypads you sometimes see at checkout counters, which is what it was designed for), today I think one can pick one up for under $50.
