I love TextPad's ability to auto-detect and work with Unix files seamlessly. Unfortunately, sometimes, it's a little too seamless. Recently, I worked on a Perl script that was unintentionally writing files in Unix format, a problem I overlooked in TextPad because the status line is, well, unintrusive.
Would it possible to have TextPad bring up a warning dialog if a non-DOS format is detected when loading a file? This should probably be a configuration option, so it doesn't annoy everyone else.
Apologies if this has already been solved somewhere else; I have searched the forums and studied the latest version 4.7.2.
