visible spaces on?

Post by rfresh »

How can I get visible spaces to default to on? I always have to manually set it and I can't figure out how to do it via preferences.

Thanks...

Some configurations will only be saved if no documents are open. This is the process I use:

Open TextPad
Close all documents
Configuration, Preferences, change settings, Applyand OK them as necessary.
Close TextPad
Reopen TextPad. Preference settings should be saved.

Last two steps of closing and reopening may not be necessary, but for reasons I don't recall, I do those steps anyway.
Hope this was helpful.............good luck,
Bob

Did not work for me.

In Preferences->View there is

Visible white space:
[X] Paragraphs
[X] Spaces
[X] Tabs

I have these all checked but still no default visible spaces.

I'm using ver 4.7.2 under windows XP

Visible Spaces ON by default, solution sort-of works

that sort-of works.
All new documents now have visible spaces on.
All documents in a workspace profile open as before.
Need to close and re-open in workspace to get visible space ON.
