Duplicate Command

How about a Duplicate Command - When you select a portion of text you can right click it and choose a command to immediately duplicated it. Kind of like copy and pasting, the advantage being the clipboard is not over written with the data.

I know a number of graphics programs have this feature, it would be good to see it in Textpad too.

Not sure if this has been suggested already or indeed if it is already possible (let me know if you can!)

There is a EditDupLine command available. You have to assign a key to it yourself. I don't if it is exactly what you mean, but I've assigned F3 (never used the original assignment) and use it very much.

- mark the text you want to dublicate,
- hold your CTRL-Key down.
- Drag the edit-cursor to where you want to have your duplicate.

it should also work with vertical-selections (ALT+select multi-line text with mouse)

hope that helps.
