Right Click Issue

I installed some new shareware and MS updates yesterday. Now, when I try to right click on a text file and use Textpad, nothing comes up and the "window manager" is broken. I can no longer access anything on the desktop. Has anyone else ever run into something like this? Any ideas? This does not happen in safe mode with networking turned on. I have uninstalled the shareware, run virus scans and adware scans but this does not help.
Thanks!

Perhaps uninstalling and reinstalling textpad would clear up the issue?

I tried uninstalling textpad and also using the repair feature - all with no luck. I can recreate the problem at will...Thanks!

I've had exactly this problem since I upgraded from Win2k to XPpro and it's driving me nuts! Hope a solution can be found soon.
