Bug? Document class fonts

Post by meermanr »

I think I have found a bug in Textpad 4.7.2, but I'd have assumed others to have found this before me, so I thought I'd ask here!

Textpad 4.7.2
Windows XP Home, Service Pack 1

I have numerous document classes, and most recently I want to set one of them ( called iNFO ) to use the Terminal font, so it mimicks the DOS Prompt console...

Configure > Preferences > iNFO > Font
and changing the settings to Terminal and hitting Apply does seems to change the font, but it also affects many other document classes - also while experimenting I have found that textpad updates the last document class you clicked on, not the parent of the current node.
In other words if you have "Text" and "iNFO", if "Text" is currently selected and you expand "iNFO" without clicking on it, and then choose "Font" under "iNFO" it doesn't appear to update the correct property..

Is this a bug? or specific to me?

I was unable to reproduce this using your instructions, with and without open documents.
Perhaps you could try your procedure but first close all open documents just to make sure
it's the same for you?
TP does make a note on no documents being open when you make changes to the document
classes list, so close all open doc's, delete the iNFO class, exit TP to be safe, start it again,
close all open doc's and recreate your iNFO class.
..you have "Text" and "iNFO", if "Text" is currently selected and you expand "iNFO" without clicking on it, and then choose "Font" under "iNFO" it doesn't appear to update the correct property..
Then I open up and see
the person fumbling here is me
a different way to be
