Configuration Registry Key

Post by beedee »

Downloaded the software for evaluation today and installed. When I tried to run, got a pop up message "CONFIGURATION REGISTRY KEY COULD NOT BE WRITTEN"
I have tried: correct errors from install program, then uninstall and reinstall. Then downloaded from HTML Site (first download was FTP) uninstall and reinstall.

Each time get the same message.

Am I doing something wrong? Could not find similar problem in FAQs or search of this forum.

Thanks for any help,

Brian

Hi all

I have a very similair problem regarding the registry. I followed the following link http://textpad.com/forum/viewtopic.php? ... gistry+key but I think that this option will only work for XP. I am using windows 2000 SP4. There are the following users :
Administrator and SAPUSER. SAPUSER is the user responsible for starting and stopping SAP Server. SAPUSER has all the administrative privilidges. When I try to start Helios I get the error message ....cannot write to \current User.

When I try to manually change the registry I have no permissions.

I have looked for help on the Microsoft homepages as the error I recieve is 1033. No help.

Anybody had a similair problem ?

Thanks
