Unable to view in web browser

Hello
Within TexPad, clicking the icon on the tool bar, in the dropdown menu or the context menu does not launch my HTML page or any other type of file in my web browser. What I do get is a message at the bottom of the window . “This file is already loaded This has only just happened, a few days ago there was no problem.
I have looked at all the postings that refer to: ‘unable to view in web browser’. And can find no solution.
I have ticked the ‘view in web browser’ box for each classification. I have uninstalled, and downloaded and reinstalled TexPad but no go.
I would appreciate any suggestions that would resolve the problem. Thank-you in advance.
