Cut-and-paste bug in TextPad?

Hi,
I have been using TextPad for quite a few years now but recently on a new Win2000 Professional PC I get the message "The clipboard is in use by another process" whenever I try to cut and paste text in the main editing window. I have not found a way to go around it (it appears even after I restart TextPad) and for all practial purposes I cannot use the cut-and-paste feature.
This message appears at the very bottom of the TextPad window (on the left of the row and column numbers). Has anyone seen this before? Is there a way to fix it?

Thanks,

Christos

Do you have some virus scanner running?

Does the virus scanner check the clipboard contents?

Do you know how to turn off this checking of the clipboard contents?

Thanks,
Christos

No, but someone else might know - it might help them if you tell us which virus scanning software you are running...
