Undo: Remember selected text

Post by cacycle »

Wouldn't it be possible that the undo function remembers the selected text. That would help a lot, e.g. when undoing a textblock move (mouse-button drag'n drop)

Every editor I've ever used on Windows has this feature.

Restoring the selection after an Undo operation is standard:

Word does it. WordPad does it. NotePad does it. Even Explorer does it when you edit a filename. Internet Explorer does it for text fields on web forms. Heck, Windows even does it in dialog text fields.

It's unbelievable that TextPad does not.

I nearly posted this one yesterday myself.
Best Wishes!
