MRU windows cycling order like in Microsoft dev tools

Post by fthomas »

Today, in Textpad, it seems that the windows cycling order (when using Ctrl-Tab and Shift-Ctrl-Tab) is the order of opening of the files. In Microsoft developement tools (and yes, Textpad competes with them!) the windows cycling order is the MRU, Most Recently Used. This could be a very nice option to have in Textpad, as a compatibility switch with the Microsoft world.

I'm still confused about how tab cycling works! Does it work like Windows' Alt+Tab switching?

I Sent three files to TextPad and #3 is active

Ctrl+Tab takes me to Window #2
Another Ctrl+Tab returns me to window #3
I just switch back and forth

Ctrl+Tab+Tab can get me to window #1...
The fact that Ctrl+Tab,Ctrl+Tab is different from Ctrl+Tab+Tab messes me up!

I'd prefer Mozilla-like cycling where it just marches down the list of tabs...
