Hi there,

I was trying to reinstall TextPad after reinstalling windows xp pro built 2600

I used version 4.62, and downloaded version 4.71.

Neither 4.71 nor 4.62 installation was successful.

While preparing windows installer, my damn computer just keeps rebooting himself without any warning/prompt.

Any ideas solving that problem?

did you install any service pack for windows xp? in most cases it solves this kind of problems. if you have, then install the newest version of windows installer (msi) and try again. if even that does not work, then go outside, cry as loud as you can, stamp with your feet on the ground and try installing again ;)

well no, i didn't install any sp, i also had TP installed at win xp pro without sp and it worked

i'll try updateing msi, hope that works, cos i don't wanna miss TP :-/
