TextPad launching on log in - I want to stop this

When I log on to my machine TextPad starts up by default. I can't find any settings in TextPad which modify this behavior, and there doesn't seem to be anything in the help about this either.

Perhaps this is caused by a setting in my Windows profile which is telling Windows to launch TextPad whenever I log in. Does anyone here have a clue as to where I would look for this setting, and how I would remove it ?

Thanks in advance for any help.

In order to prevent TextPad from starting up when you log on, you will need to implement the following procedure:

From the Configure menu choose:

1. Preferences
2. General
3. Under the heading"Put shortcuts to TextPad on", uncheck "StartUp menu"
4. Click Apply / OK.
