Document Selector Listed by Directory

I would like to suggest two improvements to the document selector

1. Show a hierarchical list for the open documents, possibly just a simple two level thing with the simple file indented two spaces under the directory.

For example (lead dots to represent space indentations):

c:\mydirectory
..File1
..File2
..File3
c:\myOtherDirectory
..File1
..File2

2. If a directory or file is too long to display edit out the middle with an elipses. For Example:

c:\my\long\directory\path\that\does\not\fit
..File1
..File2

would become, perhaps

c:\my\lon...es\not\fit
..File1
..File2

I frequently work with multiple java packages in their respective directories, and end up opening several copies of TextPad to keep the package classes from getting "all mixed up".

I also tend to have fairly deep path names, so switching on full path names in the selector displays, rather uselessly, things like:

c:\data\programming\java\co...
c:\data\programming\java\co...
c:\data\programming\java\co...
c:\data\programming\java\co...
c:\data\programming\java\co...
c:\data\programming\java\co...
c:\data\programming\java\co...

i like this idea...maybe just have the directories relative to the workspace...

/css/document.css
/js/validator.js
/index.html
/page2.html

something like that

This is an important enhancement in my view. This could be coupled with the request for a directory tree so that the directories could be expanded and collapsed dependent on your needs.
