I've noticed this, only in TP 4.7.
If I do lots of scrolling down a page, with the scroll wheel... sometimes, out of the blue, the document begins to auto-scroll up the document (about 4 pages worth)
To say the least, this is incredibly anoying, but I'm having a hard time pinning down the exact circumstances.
I can say the following:
- I always have visible spaces/tabs on
- I always have line numbers visible
- I never have word wrap on
- My files are typically 500 - 2000 lines in length
- Language is XML/XSLT typically
- My cursor, is NOT over either scroll bar (or anywhere near them)
- I haven't been able to reproduce this twice, in the same document, without leaving the document.
- I do NOT have any funky mouse drivers loaded, this is the only App, that exhibits this quirk.
- I'm running Win2k, TextPad 4.7 (licenced)
- Clip window, and Document Selector are both docked on the left hand side.
- I use an OEM PS2 Logitech Scroll Mouse (which again, has never caused an issue to date)
Any Ideas?
Scroll wheel causes TP to scroll wildly towards the top...

Please try the following procedure:
From the Control panel, double click the mouse icon. Select the Wheel tab, and under the Scrolling section, click on Advanced. If the speed indicator for Advanced Accelerated Scrolling is positioned towards the Fast end, then drag it back towards the middle or Slow end, and see if that makes any difference.
