Allow disabling of strings in comments

I hope this isn't considered a covered topic. I did try to check.

When I do an end-of-line comment such as:

<!-- don't separate -->

The text after the quote and the rest of the text for several lines is
highlighted as a quote. Could we allow comments to override quotes?

Thanks,
mzk

P.S. I know about the multi-line highlighting option, but it's more trouble if I turn it off. (4.7.1 of course)

Ah, I did see that one, but got lost in it. However, is this really complex (to turn off all parsing for comments as you do for strings)?

I still think (personally) that it would be a good option to have, to allow for english grammar.

I will use your suggestion, of course.

Thanks,
mzk

P.S. Turning on multi-line helped a lot on a similar problem. Thanks to keith for that.

No, then they would be invisible.

I just mean that just like keywords within strings aren't highlighted,
so strings within comments should (optionally) not be. Otherwise the
English language suffers (i.e., apostrophes).
