Ctrl+Num+ and Ctrl+Num- to zoom in, zoom out

Post by jhmagnus »

In Mozilla and Boa Contructor (Python IDE) you can zoom in and out (enlarge/reduce font size) by pressing Ctrl and +/- on the numeric keypad. This is very useful and very easy to use.

It seems like these two shortcuts are not used in the standard Microsoft Applications keybindings in TextPad (I don't know about the other standard keybindings).

So, I suggest to assign these keyboard shortcuts to two functions that increases respectively decreases the font size for the current document.

I think this would be very useful, and I think it would be relatively easy to implement.

See also http://textpad.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4169, which is the same core proposal. I just want access to the zooming function via the keyboard primarily.

You could have just added your comments to the other poll and voted there..

Yes, but I didn't see the other topic until after I had submitted this one.

So....perhaps you can edit the first message, and add a link to the other poll and redirect readers to that one for voting?

If this hasn't been voted on yet, you may actually be able to delete it completely, but I would bet there is already one vote from you. :D

Thanks for the suggestions.

Actually I find it interesting to see if the votes for the two almost identical suggestions would be the same.

And there are three votes already (and yes, one of them is my vote :-)).

I don't think it is necessary to edit the first message to add the link, because the link is mentioned just below the message.

But thank you again for the suggestions.
