custom toolbar icons

The default hammer with a subscript number is not a satisfactory icon for a button on the toolbar that represents an custom item on the Tools menu.
TextPad needs a way to set a custom icon for these buttons. MS Word has a mechanism to do this.

The big challenge may be including an image editor to edit the buttons, like word and excel have, but that wouldn't be necessary. All you would have to do, is have a folder that contains bitmap files of the proper dimensions. These bitmap files can be created and edited with paint. When you go to customize the toolbar, TP can read the bitmap files for the additional button images.

I've been asking this for a couple of years now. Every new version I hope it's been done. And every new version it's been left out. I know it appears minor, but it would make life so much easier. I'd love an icon editor, but I'd be happy to use the windows built in icons, or even an external icon dll.

As one of my favourite blogs states:
When you have a hammer everything looks like a nail
