I've gotten this same bug in both 4.6.2 and 4.7.0: I copied what I believe was a LF/CR from a cell in an Excel spreadsheet (it appeared as a little square and the text after it appeared on a new line in the same cell) and tried to paste it into a "Replace" dialog as the text to search for. When I hit CTRL-V to paste, the program just froze. This happened every time I tried it, on two different computers, and upgrading to 4.7.0 didn't help. Any suggestions?

This works OK for me, with a new line in a cell. Try pasting the text into a new document in TextPad, then hold the mouse pointer over the block character. A popup tip should give the character code. If you post the results here, I'll try it. If that doesn't help, create a new Excel sheet, with the problem text in a single cell, and submit it with a bug report. Please zip it, so that Outlook does not block it, and state which versions of Windows and Excel you have.
