A 'Save Copy As...' function would be useful so as to save the current file to a new name without changing the current file. This would be very useful for saving quick backups of the current file, or saving a copy for a colleague (on a network location) to open without affecting your open copy.

I know i would use this function at least once a week, currently you have to save as then reopen the original but thereby loosing your undo, or select all, copy, new document, paste, save as... (I think I've just worked out how to do it as a macro , but still would be nice as a built-in feature)

Barry_Da_Hunter... of course theres such a feature, you dont need a macro for that (if it can be recorded)...

File/manage Files (or press F3), theres also a shortcut icon on the tool bar - looks like a file cabinet..

In the box that pops up .. click copy/
then type a filename and click ok to save a copy of the currently open file in its current folder
or click browse to select the final resting place...
dont forget to type the ext.
