Hi,
this is Heinz from Germany. Please don't worry about my English.
Instead of programming a contributed add-on, because I am not able to do
so, I would like to make a proposal for the next version of TextPad. I
think that this best textprogram could be a little better with automatic
highlighted brackets (optional). And the user should be able to
configurate the view of the brackets in relation to the used language
(C++, Java and so on).
When I put the mouse-cursor in front of or behind a bracket, this bracket
and the corresponding should be highlighted. TextPad answered to me, that
I should put this question into the forum, so that You decide with about the
next version of TextPad.

But your idea about defining the brackets in the syntax files is a good one. Consider adding a comment requesting this specifically.
