Change highlighting on Find function?

Forgive if this has been discussed before as I did not find any relevant threads on this topic.

I find it very hard (read: nearly impossible) to identify terms when using the Find function. Instead of creating a highlighted block around the term or presenting it in a vastly different color, the default method simply presents the found term in black text.

any way to change this? I have yet to find an option which will allow me to customize this.

afaik Textpad uses the systemwide colors for selected text.
