compiling java application

why do I keep getting error messages when trying to compile my java applications
Because either you did not configure your java stuff correctly
or because you make programming errors.
Sorry, I can't give more detailed help on such a detailed question...
And perhaps you should post your problem in the java forum right next door, but without more details you won't get a more detailed answer there as well....
