Just wondering, will this ever be added? It's nothing that important, but I would like to see it as an addition.

Why?

TextPad is an ascii text editor. Very good, very efficient. No fancy stuff.
For fancy layout one should go to a word processor.

AFAIC, bold, italic and underline is just an extension to syntax highlighting, and I don't see any reason not to use it. As a matter of fact, the Delphi IDE already has it, and I especially like bold and italics.

I agree with this, these would be nice additions to the syntax highlighting.

Interesting. I hated that so I got rid of the bold and italic as quickly as possible.
