Turning off utf-8 file signature in 4.6

Hi,
I've just started using Textpad 4.6, but I've found that in editing utf8 PHP files it has caused a problem. Because the utf8 signature is added to the PHP file, and PHP doesn't recognize this signature, I am getting errors from PHP now.
Obviously PHP should in future recognize and ignore the utf8 signature, however in the present this problem has been caused by this change in Textpad. Is there a way to turn off the utf8 signature writing, either globally or for a specific file type?
If not then I guess I am doomed to 4.5 until either Textpad is more flexible or PHP can support the utf8 file signature.
Brodie.
