Relative/Absolute Path in "Find In Files"

Hi all,

I have got a really annoying problem occurring using "Find In Files". In the Search Results, I always want the file references in Absolute format (e.g. "D:\My Documents\MySubDir\MyDoc.doc") instead of in relative format (e.g. "MySubDir\MyDoc.doc").

For all my "In folder" search list (except one) except one, the results do come with Absolute paths. However, for the one directory I want to use for "In folder", it always returns the results with Relative paths.

And this happens even if I:
1. Delete the "In folder" search path and enter it from afresh.
2. Edit an "In folder" search path that returns Absolute paths to the path that is currently returning Relative paths ==> the problem is not due to any metadata etc associated with the "In folder" list.
3. Uncheck the Configure | Preferences | General - Working folder follows active document check box.
4. Open a file from a different directory to the one I want as the "In folder" search directory.
5. Save a file to a different directory to the one I want as the "In folder" search directory.
6. Do a right-click in the Search Results pane and select Properties. I cannot find a setting in these tabs for a working directory for a Search Results document.

NB: The Configure | Preferences | Folders settings do not match with the directory I want as the "In folder" search directory.

As you can guess, this is starting to drive me nuts. It is something stupid and simple somewhere that I need to do to remedy this but I can't find it.

Can anyone please help?

Thanks

Robin

I forgot to say that I am using version 4.6.

Hmm. Also seem to have "fixed" it. For those that need to know:
1. I clicked the Defaults button in the Find In Files dialogue box. This would change the directory to something other than directory that always returns Relative paths.
2. I did a dummy search there.
3. I changed the "In folder" setting to the folder that normally returned Relative paths. It now returns Absolute paths :-) . Yippee!
