new user with line break question

Hello,
I just downloaded and started to use TexPad yesterday. I wanted to know how I could have TextPad insert hard carriage returns at the end of each 65-character line. If anyone could help me out with this it would be much appreciated.
Sincerely,
Edward

If you select view->"Document Properties" then check the boxes
Word Wrap long lines
Save with hard breaks
Word break at column number 65
This will do almost what you want - it wraps at <= 65 on a word boundary
- if you want exactly 65 - I'm sure someone will know.
If you want all documents to be like this then do something similar in
Configure->Preferences->"Document Classes"->Default
If only with certain extensions then only change the appropriate class below "Default"

I did what you said and it seems to work fine in TexPad. But when I
select all - copy the doc and then paste it into an email client or
web form (i am trying to format my ezine) it pastes funny. Ever other
line has only one or two words on it. How can I avoid this and get it
to paste as it looks in TextPad?
I think that using TextPad is probably the wrong tool for the job - but perhaps what you want to do before saving is firstly
select all on each paragraph (Ctrl-A for whole document)
then join (Ctrl-J)

Sounds like your email program uses shorter lines than you configured in textpad...
