Window cascade

I clicked window->cascade. When I was done, I maximized the files. Now, whenever I open a file, textpad does not open the file maximized. It is cascaded. How do I turn off the cascade option?
Thanks,
Jim

I have the same problem.
You can no longer "maximize" windows even by double clicking on the title bars, or clicking the "restore" button. The windows will resize to fit the interior window space -- essencially acting as though they are "tiled".
If I go into the registry to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Helios\TextPad 4\Windows Placement
and change the Maximized DWORD to 1, I can "fix" the problem... That is, until I open an output window... Then I end up with the "tiled" behavior again.
I have experienced this only under Windows XP.
I believe it only impacts Windows XP users.
Does anyone have a more effective work around?
Thanks,
- Don

Under win2k, setting the maximized dword to 1 fixes the problem.

Same problem here, also running WinXP. It also happens with PSP 6, but without the registery workaround.
I now have a small registery file that I 'load' each time I accidentally un-maximise a window (and cause the problem), however it's the only bug I've found and could do with being fixed.

I have this same problem and it's extremely aggravating. Are we going to see a *real* fix any time soon?

I had the same problem. After cascading windows, i couldn't maximize the windows. After testing a little bit, i discovered that maximizing windows after cascading didn't function in other programs too (Access etc....). The reason for this was the nview-desktop-manager from NVidia. After switching nview off, all went ok.
