TextPad cause bad sectors ?

I have dowloaded the free trial version of TextPad. I need to know
If I decide to continue to use it after the trial date is passed without
paying will it cause any problems to my computer like bad sectors ?

This is not a joke. I had downloaded a trial program called
ShutDownNow and after the trial deadline I continued to use it
and I misteriously got some bad sectors on my hard drive!

Personally, I'm pretty sure that TextPad won't do any harm like that.
You might probably see the Shareware message more often than you like to...

But, hey how about paying for the software you're using? This is not a joke either.
I mean, TextPad is a really good editor. ...and after all it sounds as if you're going to use it after the trial period...

As a professional programmer I'd really like more people to pay for the software they use. (because it's really hard work to produce high quality software).
(Other software shouldn't be written anyway, or should it?)

Cheers

Thank you Stephan.

I hope you are right, that it won't cause any problems.
I am a student in programing. I am still only learning Java. So I work
part time. In fact I make $100 or less a week. And that is Canadian.

Textpad would cost me $27.00US x 1.60 = $43.20 Canadian.

If I make any money in the future from programing I may pay for
TextPad then. But for now I would rather compile with

javac MyFile.java

in the comand line than pay this.

Thanks again for the input.

Once the trial period expired, Textpad made my coffee go cold and my mouse ran away as well. It was just about to format my my speakers but I stopped it in time.
