Hi. I exported some text from Outlook to tab delimited to add some tabs in the body text -- creating additional fields (or so I thought.)
But, when I brought the text into Excel from the tab delimited version I had edited with Textpad, all the tabs were brought in as vertical tabs, and I had no additional fields like I had hoped.
Any ideas on how I can get textpad to make "real" tabs as opposed to vertical tabs?

I've never had the problem. Have you used Courier New font and not converted tabs to spaces?
