can I run a file compare and get a color coded difference showing the full original file, and color coded additions/deletions. When I run file compare, it only seems to output line differences - I would like to also see the unchanged text inbetween

Unfortunately this functionality requires a third party product. Try an application like Examdiff (http://www.prestosoft.com/examdiff/examdiff.htm)

No need for the Pro version. The freeware Examdiff is all one needs.

I would miss the extra features of the pro version if they were taken away from me...

The File Difference on a C Source File Saved using Textpad Shows Lots of Differences while Using Visual Source Safe File Difference Tool, Even though Only One Line Was changed, 100's of lines were showing as difference.
Is Text Pad Inserting any extra spaces or tabs while saving.

Any help on this?
