Are there any plans to have a pure java version of TextPad?
It would be nice to be able to run my favorite editor on Solaris some day... Soon I hope!

It seems that the next version of TextPad will be written in a .NET language. This (based on my non-expert knowledge of .NET) raises the possibility of it running on other platforms which can run .NET code (.NETheads correct me if I'm wrong!)
So if (when?) someone writes the appropriate .NET runtime environment for Solaris, in theory it'll be a reasonably trivial exercise for Helios to port TextPad to Solaris.
Am I talking rubbish, or is that the way .NET works?
