I am running Textpad 4.5.0 under Windows 2000 Professional (ver. 5.0.2195 Service Pack 2 Build 2195)

When I select the spellcheck function I get the following error:
"Unable to Open Dictionary"

I have reported this to Textpad support and was given the old standby: "remove and reinstall the software"

I did.
It didn't work.
I have confirmed that the same thing is occurring on another machine in the office.

Does anyone have any info that will help?

Did you install any dictionaries?

I had installed the British and US English as well as the Medical and one other.

the problem seems to be that the installer does not populate these selections in the spelling preferences box (there weren't any dictionaries in the perferences box).
