TextPad paint problems

When I use Windows Explorer to browse to a file, then open it with TextPad, it appears like part of the tool bar is left over from Explorer (or whatever was under this window)

I tried to repair TextPad. I also did an uninstall and reinstalled it. But nothing changes. I also rebooted a couple of times.

Any thoughts? I have a feeling that it's not TextPad's fault, but I'm not sure what else to check.

Mary,

In order to rectify this problem, please implement the following procedure:

1) Exit from TextPad
2) Run REGEDIT.EXE
3) Expand the path HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Helios\TextPad 4.
4) Select the key labelled "Docking" and delete it.

That key will be recreated the next time you run TextPad, but you will lose any custom changes you have made to any toolbars..

Kind regards,

Stephen MacDonald
