Texpad prints strange characters rather than letters.

Using ver4.5.0 when I print straight text, all the letters are changed into some funny characters made up of straight lines (some single, some double, some T shaped, some forming a right angle).

This happens whether I print to my printer or to an Adobe pdf file.

When I cut and paste those funny characters into a simple editor, they revert to the proper text. (Which is why I did not provide a sample with this posting.)

What should I do to get the print function to work correctly?

Thx.

Joel

Have you tried changing the font in configure/preferences/Document classes/default/printer to (isuggest) "Courier new"?

Just a wild guess:

You might have kind of a misfit in your settings with respect to the ASCII vs. ANSI charcacter set...

Ed,

Thanks for the suggestion. The problem was indeed in the config settings. It was set on courier, but only for screen not for printer. I switched the radio button to both, and now it prints fine.

Thanks again!
