Save clears file properties

(Environment: TextPad 4.5.0, Windows 2000 SP2, NTFS)
When saving a text file with TextPad, the Comments property (and all the other "Summary" properties) of the file are cleared. These properties can be very useful, particularly when folder-viewing properties are altered to display columns containing these properties. Is there a configuration option that prevents this, or is this just a bug/limitation?

I puzzled over that a bit too... I came to the conclusion that if your file is part of a workspace and you close the workspace instead of closing the file. The problem I get into is that if you close the file first it will remove the file from the current workspace without any prompts or user control over it. Then when you close the program completely is saves your workspace w/out the file and w/out any file specific settings you may have created.

At least, that's my best guess so far. Still not sure I've got it down completely. It took me a while to figure it out. For my money is very unintuitive compared to other project file managers. On the other hand, as long as you remember to close the workspace first it is easier than some others because all the current files and/or custom changes are automatically updated. Curiously, when you go to close a workspace is the one time it will prompt you for confirmation to save changes!
