Save and load

OK, I know I shouldn't have, but I did...

I opened the save dialog box to save a file, got curious about another file, right clicked it and chose "open in textpad": full application crash. Is this supposed to be so?

I vote for "No".

What are you running? I just tried both saving a new file with "Save" and "Save As..." with an opened file.
Both times the file opened in Textpad and the "Save" dialog was still open (which is what I expected).
-> No crash on this system (Win98 SE on AMD@1.2GHz with 256MB)

Hello HY!

I can reproduce this behaviour under NT 4.0 SP 6, Dual Pentium II 333 MHz,
128MB.

I run TextPad 4.5.0 on a Win2K SP 2, Pentium III 800MHz 328MB RAM, and can reproduce the crach at any time...

Now, in fact trying it on a Win2K SP2 box lets Textpad crash.
So it's a matter of Win2K resp. NT incompatibility - or so I think.

Ooops, sorry for posting twice.

BTW, has anybody out there submitted a bug report to the Helios team already?
Or, rather: Is it a known bug?

Trying not to repost this one ;-) ....
