Default file format when opening

Does anyone know how to override the default file format selected by "Textpad" when opening an ASCII text file with a ".com" extension from the command line? I have an application in VB where I'm opeing text files programmatically, but Textpad wants to open any .com file as a HEX, but I'd like it to open as a regular text file. Are there any command line switches that can override the default opening settings?

Thanks,

Dan

Go to Configure | Preferences | Document Classes | Text | Files in class Text
and add "*.com".
