Hi
I've been using Textpad for years and love it. I'm soon going to move to a new computer but can't figure out how to move all my lovely macros to the new machine. Can anybody help me?
I've clicked the email option but just in case please reply directly to my email address as well as the forum since I don't always have the chance to get back here as often as I'd like

thanks
Rick

In TextPad 4.5 under Settings there is a category "Directories". There are all the directories listed including the one where your macros are saved.

Old Machine

1. Find the directory where your old macro was saved - you can use START - FIND - Files in windows and type *.TPM

2. copy macros to disk .

New machine -

1. Build any kind of macro and save it

2. Find where is Textpad store new macro (found that different directory used in Win 98 and Win 2000)

3. Copy old macro to the Directory

4. in Textpad - Configure --> Preferences --> Macro, add Macros available to Macros On Menu click OK

hope this helps
