just a quick question for anyone who has ever used texpad to run java programs.

How do you get a compiler with Texpad? is there another program that i have to download in order to compile java programs?

of course you need to have a Java Development Kit (JDK) to compile Java.

Textpad is "just" a text editor, not a compiler.
