I am a beginner.

I bought TextPad and when I execute the self extracting installation file, txpeng450.exe, I get an error. It says:

An installation support file could not be installed.
The object exporter specified was not found.

Help!

Do you have administrator privileges on your PC? If not, the operating system might not let you install *any* software, including TextPad.

What operating system do you have installed on your PC? <br>
Eg, Windows 95, Windows 98 Second Edition, etc.<br>
Have you applied any service packs?

Here's an easy way to find out: Right-click on the Start button and select Explore. From with that program (it will be Windows Explorer, often confused with Internet Explorer), select the dropdown menu Help > About and tell us what you find there.
