How can I pipe a file into textpad?

Example:
type foo.txt | textpad

I tried it, but textpad ignores the piped data. I don't see any command line switches that appear to support this.

I just went

help > help topics > search

and I typed in

command line

then clicked on "list topics"

then I selected "command line parameters"

clicked on "display" button.

These are 2 launch Textpad with a file opened too such as 1. the options in a windows shortcut or 2. from the command console
