Sometimes when I open files from Windows Explorer using right click or the send to menu the file opens in the oposite view from what I want. Is there a way to change from text to hex or hex to text view one the file is open or do I have to re-open it?
Is there somthing I can put on the command line of a shortcut for force it open in one or the other view?

You can set up filters from within textpad to only pick up certain files. If you can do this for these files, then they will allways open in the predetermined formats that are set from the configuration menu.
