Making TextPad the default text editor

This may be silly, but can I do this? without having to manually edit the registry, although I'll do that if I need to.

Go to Add-ons (in the yellow link bar) and look for txplink - there are several versions (depending on your system...), download and install the appropriate version.

Also be sure to <br>
1) Configure > Preferences > Associated Files <br>
2) In "New extension", scroll down and select ".txt"<br>
3) Hit "Add" <br>
4) Hit "Apply" <br>
