This is what I did ( Using Win ME ).

1. Right-Click your IE navagation toolbar ( the one with the Forward/Back etc. buttons ), and choose Customize. Then add the Edit button from the left side and apply.

2. Goto your Folder Options under Control Panel and click on the File Types tab. Find the file type for htm and html. Click on Advanced button and click New. Type edit within the Action textarea and put the location and filename of where Textpad is installed in the Application textarea.

Now whenever you want to view the source of a HTML or HTM file in IE just click the Edit button on the IE toolbar.

Or you can get a program in the add-on section of Textpad.com to link the view source command on the mouse context menu to Textpad instead of Notepad

forgot one other step.

After you do steps 1 and 2, open up your Internet Options in IE and goto the Programs Tab and and Textpad should now be listed under HTML editor. Select Textpad and apply

Install Txplink from the add-on page and it replaces notepad with TextPad.

Since notepad is started when 'View Source' is selected, it will automaticly open TextPad.

It's a must have!!! It would be great if it would be in the standard installation of TextPad.

That's all,
