How can I get textpad to support using the scroll wheel on my mouse? Is there support for scroll mice? I didn't see anything in preferences or help.

Scroll-wheel support is automatic as long as the mouse is properly installed and supported in Windows (also the Ctrl key enables right-left scrolling and shift causing scrolling by pages rather than lines).

Yeah, and a friend just told about [Windows button]+e brings up Windows Explorer.

Where is stuff like this documented?

Actually the extra wheel support I mentioned is just Textpad ... other programs do other things (or nothing) and generic support is based solely on the driver you use.

As for "other" hidden features, Microsoft is infamous for that sort of that thing ...

Unfortunately, however, it is *not* supported in Print Preview. I don't know if this is something changeable by the TextPad programmers, or if it's a standard Windows thing.

A lot of the functionality of the wheel is enabled in a lot of applications by having Microsoft Intellimouse installed - it doesn't seem to be possible to download any version other than an upgrade from Microsoft's site, so you'll need to install Intellimouse from the floppy that came with your hardware (assuming it's an MS mouse). The url is:

Hope that helps

Intellimouse seems to work with any mouse. (even the $6 PS2 mouse with wheel I bought at the local department store). The full install is available from MS site because that's where I downloaded the latest full version from.

On this page:

is this link:

Also, wheel support for Print Preview in textpad works fine on my PC, so I'd start looking at your mouse installation Jeff :^)

On mine, the wheen scrolls back and forth through each page, unless you are zoomed in, in which case it scrolls the view of the current page.
