Aligning text

Post by Liz Dockendorf »

I've set the word wrap margin in the properties for the document class, but the "align" command on the edit menu is still disabled. What do I need to do to make it work?

Configure/Word-Wrap: if it is checked, uncheck it!

Or, from the drop-down menus: View > Document Properties > Preferences and uncheck it just for the current document.

Good advice but align is still greyed out.

I did this and align was still grey. I checked save with hard breaks.
Strip trailing spaces and changed everything else I could think of.

With linux it is easier. Everyone starts with the same configuration
and experts can tell you how to look at or send to them your
configuration since it is standard for a given release. With windows
noone knows where anything is at and you don't know where to look
to solve problems like this.
