Hello,

What is the best way to interactively change one string to another in a set of files ?

That is, you specify the root directory, the old and the new strings and you get a prompt for each occurrence in each file whether you want to replace it or not.

Text Pad is my favorite editor for several years now but I find it very painful whenever I need to do such a search & replace.

Also, any recommendation of another tool that can do that will be greatly appreciated.

FYI,

I found an editor that does it. It is called
Note Tab. Not as elegant and clean as TextPad but it does the job.

TexPad people, if any of you is watching this forum, please consider to add this
feature to TextPad.
